NextEra
Energy Duane Arnold Energy Center is Iowa's only nuclear power plant,
which supplies enough power to provide for the annual needs of about 500,000
Iowa homes. A subsidiary of NextEra™ Energy Resources has a 70 percent ownership in DAEC. Central Iowa Power Cooperative has
a 20 percent ownership with Corn Belt Power Cooperative holding the
remaining 10 percent ownership. |

ITC Midwest,
a subsidiary of ITC Holdings Corp., purchased the nearly 7,000
miles of high-voltage electric transmission lines from Alliant
Energy’s Interstate Power and Light subsidiary in December 2007.
Headquartered in Cedar Rapids with warehouse facilities and offices
in Dubuque, Iowa City, Perry and Des Moines, ITC Midwest works closely
with customers to help ensure reliable electric transmission service
and contribute to the growth of the region. |
